.: Six Flags Great America :. Six Flags Great America is touted as one of the best Six Flags parks in the whole chain. Strategically placed about halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee it serves a rather large metropolitan area. Originally it was built by Marriott. At the time what is now Paramount's Great America in Santa Clara, CA was it's sister park. Both parks were originally designed to be the exact same but that all changed when Six Flags Great America (as it is known now) built The American Eagle. The American Eagle is one of the first coasters that one sees when coming up the tollway from Chicago. They also now have Raging Bull which is the tallest coaster in the park standing at 208 feet tall. It is considered to be the world's first hyper-twister combining elements of a wooden twister with that of a hyper coaster (any coaster over 200 feet tall is considered a hyper coaster). 2001 brought us V2 (Vertical Velocity) and Déjà Vu. The 2002 season will bring us "To Fly" in the Pictorium (an IMAX theater), Space Shuttle America returns, and (possibly only for a short part of the season) the American Eagle "Blue side" BACKWARDS!
